Marmot is a great place for a family, and an perfect place for any group that ranges from beginner to expert. There are extreme runs, and lots of double-black diamonds. There are many new runs. We love the new Eagle lift. I have been skiing Marmot since 1975. I love Marmot and the town of Jasper, Alberta. I think this i s a Canadian gem. There were forest fires recently, but there are still many hotels. The town needs visitors because the federal government is so weak in its response to help rebuild the town (much like its lack of preventive action before the fires).
