How Skiers Rate Copper Mountain

I have been skiing at copper since I was 18 months old. I am extremely familiar with the terrain and it is my mountain of choice. I get a season pass every year as my father is a ski patroller at copper. The quality of skiing in comparison to money is unmatched. There is free parking, short lift lines, and some of the most diverse terrain in Colorado. Woodward is the best for park skiing and the snow is always good.

Good grooming and love the parks great for all skiing styles

Copper is a great mountain with a lot of fun groomers! I prefer winter park for tree runs but coppers bowls are amazing! Super fun resort.

Copper is called the athletes mountain for a reason. The worlds best alpine and freestyle skiers and snowboarders train at copper because of its 15/10 terrain park and slopes. Copper is a well rounded, large mountain with terrain for everyone from beginner greens to gnarly bowls, trees, and cliff drops. Probably the best resort terrain park in the Colorado if not the country. Living in the Boulder/denver area, copper is about 1.5 hours normally but mid season i70 traffic can make the drive much longer if you dont time it right.

Not every resort is for every skier. I would caution away the die-hard skier for Copper as I don't think it's a particularly good mountain from a skiing perspective. Unless you're interested in park in which case it is one of the best. I would recommend it to families or those more interested in the holiday experience outside of skiing.

Great mountain especially if you like off terrain/ungrounded skiing. Also not a lot of beginners so perfect for more experienced riders.

I did Ski school here for 5 years, and have been skiing here ever since 2012. Amazing resort and it just keeps improving. New bowls and new lifts just make the experience better. Some of the best mountain food around (although its expensive). Absolutely love copper, their park is the best in the country in my opinion.

Has alot of trails I think like over 150
Huge acres so much room out there and it's beautiful terrain lots if beginner friendly runs or intermediate but also expeet if that's your speed. Like 5 terrain parks not as crowded as Breck for sure. About a little more than an hour away from Denver. Good tree sking but I don't prefer has bowl and groomers they got shuttles from town where you stay acomadation is great and the ski town has lots of stuff like ice rink and tubing good eats and bars if that's your thing. Can't really go wrong parking like 5 bucks in center village I think.

Copper's terrain is naturally divided based on skill level with a few exceptions. It is a very sport-focused mountain without the extensive après, on-mountain dining, and retail options that other resorts have. Holidays and big weekends are very crowded and very fun into the night. A regular weekday will be an easygoing, mostly uncrowded experience. Not a party resort but it has its moments. Great terrain and bowls.

I have only had the privilege of riding at Copper Mountain once, but let me tell ya...BEST POWDER AND BLACK DIAMONDS AROUND! So many fun and challenging runs with all kinds of terrain. If you are looking for the run of your life and to push the limits, go try out Double Zero which runs right under the Resolution Lift. If you can, go to copper during the week and not on the weekends. The traffic from Denver on the weekend is nuts!

We got lucky last year to go on a powder day. Its a mid range resort in terms of size of the village and slopes, but there are enough runs that we never felt it was over crowded. The mountain felt most similar to winter park of all the places Ive been to. We are planning on going back in January and were able to get an affordable room in the village, which is difficult or very expensive at a lot of resorts.
