What Skiers Say About Copper Mountain

Copper Mountain attracts intermediate to expert skiers and snowboarders, with many reviewers praising its naturally divided terrain layout that separates skill levels from west (beginner) to east (advanced). The resort is consistently noted for having excellent terrain parks and a half-pipe, minimal lift queues even on busy days, and easy access from Denver. Snow conditions receive mixed feedback, with several users commenting on recent drought years limiting terrain availability. Reviewers appreciate the less touristy atmosphere compared to nearby resorts like Vail and Breckenridge, though some mention limited nightlife and dining options. Parking is frequently praised as free and well-organised with shuttle service.

Quite the variety of terrain. Good number of easy trails. Bulk of trails are fun intermediate trails of varied types. Still a great number of trails for those that prefer varied challenging expert terrain. Big mtn, big fun.

Peak 9 is a great run full of blues and blacks. Off to the side of the mountain, it is less crowded with long runs.

Not much open in November but the run was long and fun, nearly top to bottom as opposed to other Ikon resorts with shorter early season runs.

Enormous resort with really fast lifts so even though you wait in line due to crowds, it stays manageable. Great groomed runs that can go top to bottom that are nice and wide. Fun runs that have powder if its snowing. Did not explore the back bowls--next time! Huge terrain park. Main lodges are just ok and pretty expensive.

My favorite Colorado resort. Its big enough and there can be some great powder hiding days after it snows if you know where to look. Cheaper than the big V owned resorts and usually less busy. They offer $99 lift tickets on Thursdays if you prepay online. Im not a park or pipe rider, but their stuff is top notch from what Im told.

Copper is always excellent, never feels crowded. They have the best parking system and friendly bus drivers to pick you up or a quick walk to the lifts. The ski area is divided up depending on your skiing ability so you don't wait long in the lift line. I want you go there for my birthday and maybe the new evening sunset ski I just saw advertised.
