Being a Midwest skier, A-Basin was a blast. The bowls and terrain were beautiful and a blast to ride. They had a ton of back country feeling terrain. The lifts were quick, even in the less popular areas. If you are an advanced or expert skier, A-Basin is for you. Not too busy either, which was great!
The park was pretty small but this resort doesnt really focus on park.

A basin is by far my favorite resort. I grew up skiing the terrain on pali face, & i truly believe that it has everything that you could ask for. Quiet lift lines, an open mountain feel, great powder & a local vibe. I am only saddened that it is no longer on my epic pass, but i think its great that they separated from vail. Makes the mountain supremely better in every way

A locals skier/boarders mtn. Great steeps and hikeable terrain. Definitely would but consider a beginners mountain but great for ungroomed run with consistent snow. Prides itself on opening first and closing last in the US- fun times are bad there

Really well maintained with plenty of expert terrain. Not a ton of beginner terrain. I would recommend for expert level skiers. Resort is super beautiful and realitvly large.

ABasin is by far my favorite mountain I've skied overall in my life. It being the closest one of the closest mountains to Boulder where I live and the mountain getting loads of snow makes ABasin an amazing experience. I ski Arapaho Basin all season long and the only times I've seen it overly crowded is early season and the final days of the season. Only because ABasin is the first to open and the last to close nearly every year in the state of Colorado. Great apres too with very comfortable lounge areas throughout the ski resort. Would highly recommend checking it out to any Ikon pass holder visiting Colorado or locals who have yet to shred it.

Abasin is the perfect Colorado mountain for all skiers. From exploring some kickass terrain to partying down at the Beach, its the perfect place to spend your day!
